T&T: AIS Class B

I've read, on this list and others, people suggest that large ships
filter out class B or small ships. I have a friend that is captain of
one of the 1000'+ supertankers that goes in and out of all the west
coast ports, so I asked him the question. The answer was, "My AIS
overlays on the radar and I want as much information as I can get on
every target out there. I have a big screen and lots of room, so we
display everything we can. I don't even think we have the ability to
turn off the Class B targets, but we would not do that, even if we did."
