T&T: 12VDC Temperature Switch

I missed the beginning of the thread and dont know the application so  
this may not be relevant but still may be of interest to some.

When I was replacing the fridge in SoulTender, I installed a small  
(5") fan to cool the compressor but did not want it to run at all  
times when the compressor was running. At McMaster-Carr (www.mcmaster.com 
), I found an adjustable fan thermostat (#19155K16). I wired it to a  
12 volt feed on the fridge and set the trip point on the thermostat to  
about 90 degrees and it has worked flawlessly.

The temp range on this unit is 32F - 140F and it could easily be wired  
to a relay for higher current draws.
