You are correct about the need for Military ID.  Here is an excerpt from
their web site.

 

NEW

Honorably Discharged Veterans from the Armed Forces may now rent slips at
the Old Point Comfort Marina.
Proof of status (such as a DD Form 214) is required.

 

 

I presume this is the marina you are talking about, there seems to be
several entries.
