Forecast weather from 3 PM PDT indicates strong N winds until late
tonight to 25 knots. Followed by shift to NE and 10-15 knots.
North winds are indicative of wind from the land twisting the offshore
flow around into a north flow. This means a shorter fetch and a likely
laydown that we can take advantage of.

Will post an update after the 9 PM forecast. Will be at the coast by then.

I can get a report of all the wind gauges near the WA coast anytime I
can get messages on my cell phone.
See one from 1918 GMT and the other at 2200 GMT (1500 PDT).
Notice that the wind is light south of La Push (LAP) where it is from 50
degrees (NE). Then notice how the wind has increased at Destruction
Island (DES) and swung more north (20 from 50 degrees).
