Speaking of cost... A Rocna for my sized boat would run about $700, plus
shipping to Alaska. Yikes!
I know, I know, the first response from Rocna fans will be "that's a small
price to pay for peace of mind...", but for about a third of that cost I can
get a grossly oversized Bruce (or pick your flavor) that has been proven to
keep me and thousands of boats in this region reliably secure, and I'll
sleep just fine with that solution too, thank you.
A lot of the T&T participants undoubtedly have far more disposable income
than I do, and for you guys I say 'go for it', but I think I'll put my
shrinking cruising kitty into the fuel tank (or a new autopilot, or another
chartplotter screen, or an upgraded tender, or some new fishing gear...).
