I guess I didn't provide a good question.

I have downloaded ENC Vector charts from the NOAA web site......they are in a
folder on the computer with The Capn.  In a book Mark Doyle published "Get
OnBoard With E-Charting", he states that charts used with The Capn are
converted to a different file name....I don't think the internal file was
changed....

In another publication I remember reading how to rename the ENC file so they
could be used with The Capn......I was hoping someone on the list had
downloaded NOAA ENC Charts and had used them in The Capn....
