T&T: Alcohol into Canada during loop

Joe,

You can only bring about 1.5 liters of alcohol into Canada. The rest you
have to pay a steep duty on - varies by province.

I just crossed through Canadian customs on my boat last week, and my
experience consisted of a call to customs from the port authority dock -
they asked me a half dozen questions over the phone and gave me a clearance
number (over the phone) and I was free to go. No visit. Not that I would
ever endorse breaking any laws on this site, but...

As a service to T&T subscribers, I'm willing to hold your alcohol products
until you depart Canada. Just ship me your booze and I'll keep it in a safe
place and send it back to you upon request. If you don't receive your
returned liquor and wine promptly, it's because I live in Alaska and
shipping to the Lower 48 can take a long time. Please be patient.
