T&T: Alcohol into Canada during loop

Is crossing into Canada from the USA a problem with ship stores of alcohol
etc? 

  I am beginning to realize that my best laid plans to spend the winter in
the Bahamas (ship's stores fill for the out islands) may bite me in the
%#&*.   Issues prevented that trip so we have begun our loop.   We are on
our loop heading up the Hudson and are within a couple of weeks of entering
Canada.   Should I dump (give away all but personal exemption quantity) or
pay the duty what ever that is?  My liver will not tolerate the consumptive
alterative. :-(
