T&T: onboard dishwashers

Pursuant to a recent thread, I just purchased a Vesta DWV303DB automatic,
compact dishwasher. It is the only one that will fit in its destined domicile
and the only one I know of with a built-in water heater.
Bought it from a supplier on the internet for $349.99 and $11 something UPS
ground. No tax. Ordered it Monday with paypal and the big brown man in the big
brown van just dropped it off in my driveway. Could have knocked me over with
a fender.
We can debate my reasoning but it will occupy a space that contains my
placemat/napkin drawer. I can find more suitable stowage for that! Frees up
several cu feet of much needed galley food prep space as well as valuable
skipper man hours.
When I finish this stogie, I'm gonna set it up on my patio deck, do a
temporary hook-up and do a load of dishes. No hot water and let it drain
overboard from my 'patio deck'. Can't decide whether to take a nap or chew the
end off another seegar. The decisions of this cruising life are sometimes
painful indeed.
Should have a report later this evening.
