T&T: Nobeltec Situation Outcome

John,

It was interesting to read about the issues you encountered when upgrading
to Nobeltec MAX Pro.   We also encountered similar issues and tried 10.0 and
10.1 that seemed to be addressed in 10.2.  

However once the SW stabilized enough to load and use the straw that broke
the camels back for us with MAX Pro was the chart readability issues we
encountered with depths due to a new color scheme which was introduced as a
feature in 10.1.  Since we were told that this could not be addressed at
this time we also requested to down- grade back to VNS 9 which was granted.

All was well until we then upgraded to World Folio 39 and discovered that
all bridges disappeared in our WF-39 chart areas.  We just received the
World Folio 43 upgrade and all appears ok once again.

My main concerns at the moment are:

    - How long will Nobeltec support folks on VNS 9.0 with Passport Charts?

    - Will the char readability issues in Nobeltec MAX Pr get addressed so
they are usable in our area (New England)?

After enjoying the stability and usability we had on VNS 9.0 it is certainly
disappointing and frustrating to see and experience the issues that have
occurred with MAX Pro 10.x and the new charts.   

We continue to use VNS 9.0 and will wait to see if the issues get addressed
in MAX Pro or not...

Time will tell....
