Rich,
My GB42, 1988 vintage, came with a Groco K head in the guest quarters. That old fashioned heavy bronze and porcelain head worked great for the whole 12 years I owned the boat, and I wasn't the first owner. Once or maybe twice I sent it off to Groco for a rebuild when it told me that the time had come, and it came back, quite literally, like new. The Groco folks rebuilt it for little more than the cost of a rebuild kit, so the only true cost was two-shipping to/from Groco in the Baltimore area.
What I like about the Groco K is that it's industrial quality and it just keeps working. If I wanted a manual head again, I'd go right back to Groco. It ain't cheap, but you get what you pay for!

I have a manual commode in the forward head (double belt and suspenders
approach to the electric/manual in the aft head). This manual head is,
appropriately, a POS. Need a recommendation for a good, readily available,
on the market, manual.
