I just went through the same situation on a KVH M1 that I installed.
You will have to call KVH and get the "Location ID" for your area and
input it in the satellite settings section of the installation menu.
This will allow your unit to switch to the satellite that broadcasts
your local stations when you change the channel.  Works fine in SW
Florida.
