I got fed up with the Tohatsu and opted for a Torqeedo 801 electric.
It's been a pleasure to use. The Tohatsu presented too many hassles
with ethanol/starting, wrestling around a big, awkwardly shaped, 55 lbs.
object on a wet deck, etc. The Torqeedo serves 95% of my needs, I can
store it in a locker, and I still have the Tohatsu for the Bahamas and
other spots where longer dink rides are the norm. No planing with the
electric, though.
