Hi,
I have no experience with the Petite Ultima SSA, though it is a good
company. A couple of other thoughts.
1) Assuming you do not have a 'fast' trawler, a sloughing / ablative paint
(ala Petite Ultima SSA) is a good way to go. It does not build up over time
and ultimately require removal.
2) Put on two coats. Paint is cheap compared to the rest that is going on.
Spend another day and get another coat rolled on.
3) One ideal I heard of, but did not do myself... Make the 1st coat Red,
and the 2nd Blue. Then when you see a bit of Red showing through, you know
it is time to recoat!
4) Consider a 3rd coat in high wear area's, ala around the prop, along the
waterline.
Good luck!
