T&T: Kubota Filters

When I first replaced my fuel and oil filters on my new to me Perkins M30,
I noticed the two NAPA filters were the same on the engine. Knowing that
the oil filter is usually larger I started to check and found out that the
previous owner got the filters at NAPA and had a helper install them.
Neither noticed or knew they had installed two fuel filters on the engine.
It had only run short intervals until I did my normal "make everything new
to start with",....so I have a known time line for maintenance.
I called TAD and got the correct filters. They said that the fuel filter in
place of the oil filter was probably ok for the short time it was on the
engine.
What amazed me was that the mating surfaces and threads were the same on
both.
