T&T: Best sunscreen

Scuttlebutt, a forum for competitive sailors, recently asked
professional skippers to recommend the best sunscreen. Many suggested
esoteric brands, some only available in Australia and not given FDA
approval in the US. Others had SPF factors up to 75 and available
only at dermatologists. One sailor liked the bronze look but recently
had his second chemical face peel. I would like to know what T&T
listees recommend. Particularly brands available in CVS or Walmart
and not costing more than a bottle of Chanel #5, and not smelling
like it either.
My boat has an outside steering station that I use in every weather
but a driving rainstorm. I wear a broad brimmed hat and long sleeve
shirts and use an SPF 45 sunscreen but I've still had to have a more
than a dozen minor skin cancers burned away in the last several
years. My dermatologist is hinting that I should give up boating. If
I had to con my boat only from within the pilothouse, I probably would.
