Gidday Pauline and Rod,
The large pump distributor in SW Florida Pascal is referring to is the Depco Pump Co., and
they not only distribute pumps but they repair, test and actually design and febricate pumps
and pumping systems as well. If you want to know about pumps--including which pump or pumps
to use for an application like the one on your boat--you have only to call Depco and ask for
help. But be prepared for technical questions like flow rate and voltage of the pump you
need to replace.
As they say on their website: "Depco Pump has 15 real salespeople to answer your real
questions about pumps! Call us at 800-446-1656." In my experience, they are more sales
engineers than salesmen--they really seem to take pleasure in getting you the right pump
for your needs or repairing/rebuilding the one you have if that makes sense.

In my experience, the experts at Depco are 99.99% reliable and they've helped me out of hot
water a good many times. Companies like Depco are a great resource deserve our support.
Full disclosure: I have no interest financial or otherwise in Depco . . . just a satisfied
customer.
