That does sound like a good price!
In my experience living South Florida and buying diesel for five different boats along the waterfront here since 1980, marine diesel is:
--MOST EXPENSIVE at marinas, especially posh marinas catering to megayachts
--LEAST EXPENSIVE from fuel trucks which will deliver it to most any address you specify
--BETWEEN THE ABOVE from the Peterson fuel barges
The trick to buying from the trucks is finding a place to take on fuel. Sometimes the fuel truck companies can give you a recommendation on that.
For the last few years I've been buying fuel from Chadwick Fuel (754-224-8773) which delivers by truck. Steve Chadwick actually comes aboard the boat and does the refueling himself, and payment is cash or check only. No business connection - just a satisfied customer. Sorry, I don't have a recent price for comparison.

We just took on 630 gal in Miami from Petersons @ $2.11/gal. Cheapest in three years! Barge captain was great even though we could only take it at 11 gpm.
