Steve

when did you get in, today?

the first thing one notices is the color of the water, the keys dont' even
come close and Bimini is much closer than Marathon from Miami... when the
stream cooperates :-)

Teh beach itself is a shadow of what it used to be... a big chunk has been
destroyed by the Bimini Bay resort. Unfortunately, they are planning to
expand the resort further north, all the way to the tip of the island with a
golf course and i'm afraid the rest of the beach soon goign to be history.
there used to be that path under the pines, really nice.

dont' miss snorkleing on the Sapona while you're here, as well as a few
hours at Honeymoon harbor. unfortunately, storms have cut off a pass thru
the beach but it's still nice and the stingrays are still as friendly.
