At boat shows I can understand it. But on my boat, well, you risk the wrath
of the Admiral if you forget to hose off the halibut slime or squished
herring from your boots before coming in the cabin...but boats are meant to
carry you on the water for recreation - they're not pieces of artwork in a
gallery.
I have a very hard time respecting someone's decision to put expensive white
carpeting in their boat.
