T&T: Boo Spring Cleaning - Bottom Paint Question

OK so now I am at year 3 on the bottom paint and I need to clean it and
recoat it. Originally I put Micron Extra a self polishing paint, but the
current price is up to 220 a gallon versus 140 when it got painted last. I
think it will take about 4 gallons to put 2 new coats on so I am looking at
a significant cost.
 
My question is there ablative paints available that are cheaper and still
work ok? What are some of your experiences with some of the other products
available and what kind of prices have you paid?
