West Marine is my vendor of last resort.  In our area (CT/RI) I usually hold
all my major commisioning purchases for the Spring warehouse sale at Defender
Marine.  Hamilton Marine in Maine is also a good mail/web source.  This may
come as a shock, but check with your boat yard or marina.  In our area, many
of them have accounts with Kellogg Marine, a large wholesaler, and I've found
their prices cheaper than West or Defender for many products.  Kellogg has
trucks running all over the area, and they'll deliver next day to the boat
yard.  Even if the price is a little more, it boosts goodwill with the boat
yard.
