T&T: West Marine 2009 catalog

West does have a nice price match policy, here is part of it. "If you find a nationally recognized US based retailer who has a lower advertised price on an identical, in-stock item, within 10 days of purchase, just let us know!" After this there are 5 steps you have to go through including waiting "while the Associate confirms the price and in-stock availability of the item." I got this out of the 2009 catalog.
Before I would do all this crap for West I would buy it from the other vendor. West had their chance and blew it. They just hope people are too stupid or lazy to check prices so they can stick it to the sucker. How often are you going to crawl into the West store and ask to be kicked?

Keith, No we are in Beaufort, SC. I have had price matches at the Clear Lake
store but it has been a year now. As far as I know this is and has been
company policy and have had the same experience in Texas, Florida and now
South Carolina with no problems in this past year. Chuck
