T&T: West Marine 2009 catalog

Ken,

I live 5 miles outside a little village of 2000 people. The local ACE hardware
has a Marine section but sometimes his prices are high.  I can drive to
Syracuse or Watertown and go to Home Depot, PEP Boys, A book store and Gander
Mountain. With these I have covered many of the things West sells. If I am
buying much I always do an Internet search.
Remember West does not manufacture anything. Anything they sell is sold
someplace also. It can pay to check.

So, where do people obtain most of the marine supplies if not West Marine?
I have found certain things on sale for a decent price, but I'm curious where
people get their marine supplies. I'm in Portland Oregon so it certainly isn't
a
metropolis of boating like Seattle, San Diego or anywhere in Florida.
