T&T: Refilling a Ritchie Compass

When I did my 4" compass I used 100% mineral oil.  I think I've read on the 
net that someone recommended a mixture of mineral oil and white kerosene. 
Anyway, I put the compass and the container of oil in the fridge overnight. 
When I filled it and let it warm up to room temp no bubbles.
