T&T: 8.2 Detroit

I'm looking at a "fast trawler" with a pair of 8.2 Detroit diesels pushing a
26,000 # boat. I'm not familiar with these engines. Can anyone from the list
relay some experience concerning reliability, fuel consumption, parts
availability and cost. Any input would be greatly appreciated.
