Another ditto on an anchor selection. We have exclusively used a 72# Super Max
for 5 round trips between the Bahamas and Marathon to Narragansett Bay in RI.
We typically spend 2/3's of a 34 day trip on the hook. The Rose is a
37'-46,000 lb Great Harbour Trawler that typically, "hunts" when at anchor and
the only time it broke loose was because I didn't put down the correct rode.
It sets, holds and will reset if the wind shifts 180 degrees. It works for
us.
