keith & others,
my apologies for appearing to quedtiom your experience. It just seems to me, based on _my_ experience, that whatever listing is attributable to fuel crossing over is negligible and insignificant in the overall scheme of boat operation
What boat sits exactly level? That is whay I was getting at, I suppose.
Someone pointed out that a boat seems to seeh its own equalibrium.
Has anyone heard of a boat listing to a dangerous degree as a consequence of an open crossover line? I think that is the real issue.

Excuse me? What I posted was neither a hypothesis or speculation. It's what
happens when I leave my crossover line open. I feel no need to understand
nor provide scientific proof, since it's my experience. YMMV.

I'd be interested in seeing some scientific proof that fuel actually causes
a list to increase via an open crossover line; the hypothesis many posters
present is simply speculation without scientific proof, but then, so is my
anti-listing hypothesis, but at least it's based on experience with two
different boats.
