Try WD-40. Works for me removing all sorts of gummy adhesive.

Subject: T&T: Removing Masking Tape
Mistake made; need advice on fix. I masked off some teak brightwork for
Cetoln (new verb) about 10 days ago. The teak looks great now good
news.
The masking tape (blue painters) does not want to come off the gelcoat
bad news. Does anyone have a solution for getting it to turn loose; or
otherwise give up?
Thanks for any ideas? Castigations humbly accepted with good ideas.
