T&T: Another thought on anchors, windlasses and washdown systems

 My Ideal vertical windlass will free-fall if you loosen the clutch. It has
a long SS bar that you insert through holes in the top. I've never actually
had to use this feature though.

Marty, I think with most horizontal windlasses you can control your
free-fall drop with the windlass clutch to get the amount of precision you
describe above. I do not think there are any free-drop vertical windlasses,
are there?
