Richard, I mounted these fittings on a plastic boat, several years ago, for a customer. We took the boat-half of the fitting, to a machine shop (or welder could be used), and had him adapt the fitting so it could be bolted to the boat.

Substantial backing pads, filler blocks, and through bolts, along with the altered fittings, did the job nicely.

A little thought, and a talk with your local machine shop/welder could very well produce something that will work for you. 

I never contacted the manufacturer, but you may try them first, to see if they already have something made-up for this application.
