T&T: Depthfinder "Extension"?

With most depth sounders, the transducer is effectively just a
speaker/microphone - all the electronics of the sounder is in the
display. If you connect two sounders to one transducer, they will
seriously interfere with each other, and may damage each other.

The Raymarine sounder will have a SeaTalk data output (and possibly an
NMEA-0183 data output). Raymarine may have a multifunction display
that can accept and display the data from the sounder via SeaTalk.

However, the easiest (and perhaps least expensive) solution would be
to get a complete depth sounder or fishfinder - these have the
advantage of providing a graphic display, as well as a numeric
display, where a Raymarine display would only provide a numeric
display.
