T&T: Tundra Refrig-freezer Door Handle

I purchased a new Norcold (I know-I know) in Dec 2007 from West Marine. 3
weeks later the handle broke - same situation you presently have. I called
West Marine ready for a fight. They just ordered a new one and I had it in
about a week and I installed it same day. I kept the old one and used
gorilla glue to repair it and now have a spare. These handles are the most
flimsy excuse for a handle I have ever seen. They should be ashamed to sell
this product. We now know where the guy who finished last in his
engineering class went to work, he designs refrigerator handles.

Subject: T&T: Tundra Refrig-freezer Door Handle

The handle of the refrigerator has come apart. The door locks OK but must be
opened by prying from above the door or opening the freezer section first
and prying from above. The part which has broken(?) off is the lever which
is ordinarily lifted to unlatch the door. It is a plastic handle containing
some sort of compression spring. Anyone devise a fix or workaround? Is
replacement of the original skimpy lever the best route? Bob Siegel
