T&T: The WiFi equipment I've been looking for -Yes!

The other day I said that I had ordered what I hoped to be the solution to a
couple of my wifi problems.
I wanted something that would:
[] Have a relatively long range (whether because of antennae, device power
or both)
[] Require minimal connection gymnastics when driving up to a new marina
[] Allow me to leave undisturbed the on-board network environment
I ordered a UBiQUiTi Networks NanoStation Loco2
(http://www.ubnt.com/products/loco.php)
from WISP-Router.com, $58 including shipping.
I got the wireless device yesterday afternoon and couldn't wait to get it
configured. I configured it as a router (sits between different networks)
rather than a bridge (sits between different pieces of the same network) and
as a 'Station' (looks for Access Points) rather than as a AP (solicits
connections). The Quick Setup Guide is spot on. What you have is an Ethernet
cable connecting the directional antenna /router /externally mounted
6"x3"x1" 'brick' to your computer/switch/router, etc; no coax or short range
USB cable run. The Ethernet cable can be up to 100 meters long - for those
of you with BIG boats.
After initial setup I scanned for APs and connected to my house wireless
router. Internet, network printer, the whole ball of wax worked like a
charm. Speedtest 12,000kbs - same range as speedtest from locally connected
wired machine.
I then connected my cell phone to the Cradlepoint router. Scanned for it,
reset the connection to that router and connected via the phone. Speedtest
1,450 - same range as using the phone connected directly to the computer via
USB.
The only thing left to do is test for distance. I may get out to the lake
and see how far from the YC I can get but it is projected to get to 103
today in Austin so I had better hurry.
I am really pleased and impressed with the device.
We get back to the boat in 3 weeks and I'll tell you more but I can see from
the power readings that the fartherest slip will still be within range.
As usual YMMV
