A good replacement choice for an alternator with a 2 inch foot is a
Delco CS-144. They are almost universally available and any good
alternator shop can install the drive sheave of your choice. You
will be pleasantly surprised at the price compared to a Balmar. Most
are internally regulated but a good alternator shop could customize
that also.

They are also available with or without avalanche diodes. The
non-avalanche diodes are generally regarded as being more durable.

A standard CS-144 has a hole for a 3/8ths bolt in the foot but it can
easily be drilled out to 1/2 inch if that is how your engine is set
up.
