Dave, As a service tech, I have seen more issues with Balmar than most other alternators. When asking for feed back on line for any piece of equipment, keep this important thing in mind. You will receive replies attesting to the fact that some have had a particular piece of equipment for 5, 10 or even 20 years without any problems and it performed flawlessly. The problem here is that that piece of equipment manufactured 5, 10 or 20 years ago or even a few years ago may not be the same quality and components as the one coming out of the factory today. This has been the case for many fine brands that, today, are just short of worthless. My point is, get feed back and do research on what the company is turning out today and take comments like, "mine has been great for ten years" with a grain of salt. Chuck
