T&T: defouling gear

I have a shaft knife on mine, and have never had to go under to clear
anything on this boat. I carry scuba gear on board though, just in case. My
favorite tools are my serrated dive knife, a hacksaw blade in a holder (just
a handle with the blade sticking out), and a hooked sheetrock knife that is
very sharp and has a lanyard I can put around my wrist. The latter gives
tremendous leverage when you stick the point under the line, then pry back
with the round part of the blade on the shaft.

I kinda wonder if other listees defoul themselves, never foul, or call a
towboat and a diver.
This fouling kinda stops you dead and its not always easy.
