Departed Port Jefferson NY this AM fouled anchor, fouled propeller. Different.1/2 inch polypro line both ends.

At age 58 and in 69 degree water 10 free dives on the prop cleared and the anchor line brought up a tangle that I could cut from the pulpit. After 10 dives-5 ft in and 4 ft down I am kinda spent--more complex work makes me dial in my breathing gear

My favorite tool is a floating dive knife that bobs up when I scramble for air. I carry bolt and cable cutters as well, and a wet suit , lead dive weights and 110v hooka dive system with 50ft of line.My Trawler has a protected prop and generally does not foul but over the years I have even had a tire in Oriental get over my 34inch prop.

I kinda wonder if other listees defoul themselves, never foul, or call a towboat and a diver.
This fouling kinda stops you dead and its not always easy.
