It is true that the C-MAP charts now use the explorer charts for the Bahamas. I had mine upgraded about 2 years ago because of this feature. What a difference, i no longer have to transfer some inside routes from the paper charts to my chart plotter. Also the MAX charts are excellent, i now have the US east coast and all of the Bahamas on 1 chip.

I mainly use Navionics on an E120 Raymarine, and have found them
satisfactory in the Bahamas, but also have/use C-Maps charts on a Standard Horizon
plotter, AND was told C-Maps use the explorer charts. I assume the most
conservative depths, and have found there to be some differences. Can anyone confirm
C-Maps do use the explorer charts?
