T&T: Anchoring is a criminal offense

I would, and can only assume it doesn't have much to do with real cruisers
actually moving and using their boats as much as the people that store their
boats indefinitely at anchor. Here in NC you only have to look at Town Creek
in Beaufort to see all the floating junk there swinging on the hook with no
attention or in New Bern in between the bridges the anchorage filled up with
sailboats when the Sheraton raised the rates. Most of the scrap I am
speaking of is obviously close to being abandoned. In our creek and the one
adjacent (Mitchell Creek) is a popular dumping ground for unwanted
sailboats. Too bad it hurts the real cruisers but I'm sure all of you see it
everyday.

<<snip=What's the motivation? Revenue generation or does the city simply
want to discourage boating in their area?
