Thank you, everyone, for your words of advice and encouragement 
regarding my plans to run the Ditch to the Keys.

The consensus seems to be that six weeks will be plenty of time to 
cruise the 1,800 miles from Lake Ontario south; it could be done in 
three weeks if the idea were delivery rather than cruise. It would be 
better to depart from Lake Ontario in September rather than the 
October I had in mind.

It will take a few weeks to sort out the details--and decide whether 
I should aim for the fall of 2009 or work toward 2010.

Either way, part of the grand plan will be to rendezvous with Listees 
along the way. Since I sold West Marine Trawler Fest several years 
ago, I've missed the opportunity to meet with many of you on a 
regular basis.
