T&T: folding bicycles

thinking about adding two folding bicycles to the cruise equipment.

What have members found to be good, what are the trade-off's.

Practical Sailor (February '06) has a three page article.

I want to able to store the bikes in the stern locker, hatch opening measures
26 by 20 inches.

We recently saw a new bike by Strida, very lightweight, all alloy, folds very
small, and uses a belt drive rather than chain.  the owners loved them, stowed
two on a 28 foot boat.  Single speed, a two speed is available, but very
expensive.  Folds up to be a walking aid, could be taken into shops rather
than deal with finding a place outside to lock them.

Any comments, what has worked, or advice will be appreciated.
