Replaced a Heart inverter with a Magnum sine wave unit. Cable layout was
almost the same. Used the existing cables from the Heart to connect. The
Magnum designers are said to have worked for Heart. Very pleased after about
6 months...
Searched several non-marine power supply folks (UPS repair
techs.) They all said to scrap it.. The pc board was likely the problem and it
was all proprietary.

Subject: T&T: Xantrex Prosine woes
Six year old
Prosine 3.0 finally bit the dust. Performed great until
it pooped out with a
"207" error. Reset by disconnecting AC and DC
power but now have repeatable
"195" error. Called tech support and the
nice gentleman said it *could not
be repaired* and to get a new unit.
So I guess I'll replace it with a new
unit, two Bu's or so, but it
still stinks. Thought about a different brand
but the DC cables are
huge and would be difficult to re-route.
Does anyone
repair this kind of stuff anymore?
