T&T: Commentary on "The Capn" navigation system

I will appreciate your input on The Capn system vs. others you have used.  I
presently am using a very old version of the Capn system.  I need to update
and am wondering if it is a good idea to upgrade something I am used to owning
or if there are better systems out there in the $450 range which is a better
bet.  I will be integrating with my Raymarine auto pilot and with my radar.
My existing system is spare of bells and whistles, but gets the job done with
simplicity.  I like that part of it, but don't really know what I am missing.
