i fail to see what displaying an anchor light as to do with being
environmentally friendly!! gee... why does everything have to be
politically correct, carbon neutral, footprint light, tree hugger approved
these days. dont' get me wrong, i live and work on the water and care but
if we have to worry about the envionmental impact of an anchor light, this
world is hopeless!
that said, even though Marathon / Boot Key harbor is a no wake zone and it's
unlikely that some yahoo is going come crashing in an anchored boat, there
may be other reasons for the requirement.
isnt' Marathon outside the Colreg line? if so International rules apply
and there are no exemption for designated anchorages under international
rules.
