We run our twin Perkins w/Borg-warner tranys at 1800 rpm and make 10 
mph.  When we run one engine
at 1800 rpm we make 9 mph.  The down engine transmission is free 
wheeling.  No problem with overheating.
It is very difficult to handle at low speed and in a windy condition.
