Several folks have given partial answers (and maybe wrong answers) to your
question. Sunshine @ verizon says all NEW plans, since a certain date have been
limited plans, limited to the 5 megs. OLD plans are still under the original
contract which is for true UNLIMITED usage. My plan, purchased in August 05 is
indeed unlimited. That is confirmed by the words "unlimited monthly kilobyte"
on the bill and in the Allowance column, the word "unlimited".
If you just call and ask, the answer is that it is limited. If you tell them
that your bill says unlimited and that you've had it for a few years, they
will look up your account and confirm if you are unlimited. Verizon does have a
truly unlimited package you can buy today. It is $199.99 per month, not $59.99.
I'm in the process of changing computers and new one does not support the old
aircard that I have. Sunshine confirms that I can stay on the old plan with a
new aircard if I make sure to insist that they simply continue my contract.
Apparently the norm is to make a new contract each time, which puts you on the
new rules. This happened to me on my phones when I changed them a year ago.
Instead of continuing my old contract they just put me on the new plan that had
the same dollar cost per month. And once you sign the new one, the old
contract is gone and according to them, it can't be brought back.
So, the answer is depending on when you bought your original contract you may
be on unlimited. Or, you may be on a limited package.

A listee mentioned a serious charge on Verizon usage over 5GB. I thought my
Verizon Aircard had unlimited usage. It he's correct, anyone know how to check
my monthly usage?
