T&T: Using Autopilots around nearby obstacles

Which is why true Gyro preferably and GPS based "gyro" to a lesser extent make better autopilot inputs.  With a real gyro (meaning gyroscope not that wonderful Greek food) you don't run into those magnetic anomalies.  As far as the GPS based "gyros" go, I am not sure how they handle receiver errors/signal loss as you might find around military installations such as Jacksonville and the Chesapeake. Maybe a few others know.
