T&T: West coast south bound advice needed

Ross

The simple and the long answer is that it depends upon your skills and
experience.

We run during the day and avoid overnights. Only go when the weather gods
smile - and in our case smiling means little or no wind. Swells are no
problem when there is no wind. Sailflow.com provides that information.

With weather management it is an easy trip. SF to Monterey, Monterey to
Morro Bay (lovely place - entry OK if you are out there folloing the weather
god), Morro Bay to Santa Barbara or if they are full go on to Ventura. Next
stop is Avalon, Catalina and then San Diego which has the most stressful
entry on the coast (you will see why) and the Ensenada.

So 6 days running and plan on spending some time - relaxing and weather
dancing. Seems that Sept/Oct are good but we have done it other times.

More info off list if desired,

Cheers
