Earl Hinz book is excellent - here is a concise article on anchoring with a
New Zealand perspective-

NOTE: I believe that Peter Smith is the designer/inventor of the Rocna!
In these waters (France & UK) we have some of the biggest tidal ranges in
the world - 7m (23 feet) today.
All chain rodes (if you can carry the weight) is preferred.
In the above article a photo shows a stainless steel shackle between
galvanised chain and galvanised anchor.
Could there be a problem with galvanic corrosion here?
